We are the newest club in BULSCA, having only been founded in 2021, but we have certainly not let that stop us from making a big impact in university lifesaving. We take competitions seriously but also know how to have fun and enjoy a good social at the same time. We cater for all levels of lifesaver so if you're a veteran lifesaver or completely new to the sport, we have a place for you!
We train in a huge variety of swimming, first aid, and water rescue events. Lifesaving allows you to compete in a team of four throughout the year in speeds and first aid events, in addition to opportunities to compete individually in speeds events. Competitions are a great way to test your skills against fellow students and meet Lifesavers from all over the country.
Notable Competition Achievements:
- 3rd in the BULSCA B league in our first ever season (2021/22)
In addition to our competition success throughout the past year, we also had 8 members of the club complete their RLSS Platinum Jubilee Lifesaving Award, expanding their knowledge of first aid and water rescue skills, as well as being voted BULSCA Club of the Year in the 2022 awards!
If you would get in touch or find out more about what we do, please don't hesitate to contact us!
