| Iain was first introduced to lifesaving in 2000, when he gained his pool lifeguard qualification. In 2002, he started at the LSE and joined the ULU Lifesaving Club. He was rapidly introduced to competitive lifesaving. Iain soon became a consistent member of the A team, and eventually won the BULSCA A League with London in 2005 (when he was also Club Captain). Two years in retirement followed, whilst completing two masters degrees. Iain returned to competing when he started his PhD in economics in October 2006. He has since attended Rescue 2008 in Germany, reaching the final of the men's individual line throw, and been a regular feature of London A
Iain is also RLSS Pool Lifeguard Trainer/Assessor and a BULSCA judge.

| Richard first got involved in lifesaving at the age of 16, after taking his NPLQ and ASA swimming teacher’s qualification. He proceeded to work at his local pool in Birmingham, before joining the University of Bath Lifesaving club upon his arrival to study physics. Richard has acted as Club Captain and Social Secretary of the club as well as having competed in the majority of competitions available to him.

| After Completing the Rookie Lifeguard programme. Oliver joined a lifesaving club developing his skill taken award and went on to train younger member in Bronze Medallion and Lifesaving 1,2 and 3. He has been working as an RLSS Pool Lifeguard for over 5 years now. He aslo still currently hold a distinction Qualification
On Joining university he discovered lifesaving as a sport has won a number of meals in university competitions, competing on Birmingham A for his time at the university. He ranked 2nd and 3rd in the event he completed in the first BUSLCA National Championships. He then picked up many medal includeding a Overall silver at the Nationals last year.
He graduated in July 2009 and is now completting Teacher training in Mathmatics

| Dorota joined University of Southampton Lifesaving Club in 2007 as a fresher and since then has enjoyed every minute. Back in Poland, she used to practise swimming, so not surprisingly she particularly likes speeds side of lifesaving sport. She was part of the 2008 and 2009 National Student Champions’ team. Dorota will be responsible for all activities on the leading up to the event and on the event itself -BULSCA Student Championships 2010 and for the preparation of the subsequent event.
