The University of Birmingham Lifesaving Club prides itself as being a second family and home for its members. As a student run club we believe we offer some of the best run student coaching in the country with our coaches levels of dedication and expertise.
Some of our achievements as a club include finishing 2nd at the National Championships in 2015, 2016 and 2017. As well as winning the A League three successive seasons from 2014 as well as finishing consistently in the top 2 in the B league since 2013.
Additionally, what makes our club like a second home is the social aspect. We believe that this club is somewhere where you’ll make your best friends. From regular weekly socials, to camping trips and days off to the theme park. At least for the writer of this, my social world revolves around lifesaving and this club.
We train 3 times a week, with 2 dry side first aid sessions and 3 sessions in the pool. In addition, as a member of our club, you have the opportunity to progress in RLSS Survive and Save awards as well as receive a discount to complete the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
For any questions about our club and what we can do for you please send us a message either by Facebook or email. We’ll be more than happy to help you.
