This is a traditional lifesaving event. The most common format is a 50m swim and a 50m tow. The basic idea is to swim as fast as you can then tow a team mate the remaining 50m.
The swim and tow relay is described below
Rescuer no.1 swims fifty metres to a team member acting as a casualty.
Rescuer no.1 then tows the casualty for a further fifty metres.
The casualty then becomes rescuer no.2 and swims off 50 metres to collect another casualty to then tow them fifty metres.
The rest of the team continues as above.
The race finishes when every team member, including rescuer no.1 has been rescued.
